Okay, state 1 of 86 - Alaska! It's unchanged from OTL, but I wanted to get a feel for the style I'll use for this project.

State 2 of 86 - I figured I should get Hawaii done before moving on to the lower 84.

State 3 of 86 - Washington is the first state that differs from OTL!

State 4 of 86 - Clackamas consists of OTL Eastern Washington!

State 5 of 86 - Oregon. My first real attempt at a QGIS map.

State 6 of 86 - Champoeg - OTL eastern Oregon. I believe I've settled on a style I shall use for this series.

State 7 of 86 - Jefferson - OTL southwestern Oregon and northern California. This state has been proposed in the past, but this incarnation is a bit smaller than those ones.

Okay everyone, I'm back in business. State 8 of 86 is North California! I believe I've finalised the resolution of these maps - after the last state is done I'll back and redo the first 7 states in this style.

Just so everyone knows, my laptop (where I did all this) has developed a fault and needs to be taken in for reapirs. I had QGIS on there, and it's looking like my laptop will need to have its entire OS reinstalled. That's kinda dampened my enthusiasm for this, so I'm gonna cut my losses and end this series early. @CalBear, mind locking this?
