It would be better if we'd finish the world map itself first, thanks.
Just sayin, for like in the future
@Tomoto can you do Ukraine plz? I want to work on chile so it gets done faster
Here's my progress so far, I mostly did the crimea and surrounding areas
Why. Even at the size of the M-BAM, it's better to convert a satellite image to a map.
More detail, and I don't know how to convert a satellite image to a map
I would say that any bigger, and there's no reason to use a global map projection. Even the M-BAM is so big that it is rarely going to be one single image. Zoom in further and you're better off using a conical projection or something else that's suited more for regional maps.
Speaking of third-level administrative divisions, is anybody going to do French Guiana? There, the third-level divisions could easily be the size of Suriname's first level divisions (the smaller ones, of course).
The problem is that there ain't third level subdivisions of many countries - Botswana can't even decide which second level subdivisions are the correct ones so why third level subdivisions?
Unless you want to cover Russia, China, Indonesia, Australia, the US Townships, Mexico and Canada yeah then that's fine
I made an error. The HBAM will only be 3x MBAM. This is for detailed regional maps, like wars between states or small countries. I may just release it in parts so people can use it without their computers crashing.
I made the Mbam extra stuff thread cause I couldn't wait any longer.
This was weird...
Both yesterday night and this morning, I couldn't access the site because it "refused to connect". Did this happen to you guys too?
Yeah, This was annoying!
I'm thinking of giving away some us states so that we get the us finished sooner
What's on the table?
I'm also interested. I've got a couple of free days.
I''ve made a M-BAM Subreddit.
I was on vacation this weekend, but now I'm back, so more maps from me! I also have a day off tomorrow, so I can work more on this.
I noticed a problem with Michigan, so I fixed it.
Gah, you Americans really like your straight lines! *hides map of Australia*
