Against Russia? Really?

Much larger forces have attempted to invade Russia in the past couple of centuries and lost. How the hell is Chechnya supposed to even defend itself in a committed Russian invasion of Chechnya, let alone invade Russia itself. And how is it supposed to extract terms from Russia? Barring an unexpected and total collapse of Russia, there is no way Chechnya could claim Dagestan. It is inhumanly difficult. The OTL invasion is nothing short of suicide, and we all saw the results of that.
