I've only just found this TL, if i'm honest I've skim-read it. Is the EU still a thing? Is NATO here in this world. Is the SNP in control of the UK or have the nations gone their own ways?

The “EU” is the EuroPean Economic Union (EPEU). Member-States include the USSR, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Finland, East Austria, and Germany. The other “EU” is the USE (European Socialists Union/Union Socialiste Européenne), and Member States include the 6th French Republic, The Netherlands, Wallonia, Flanders, Italy, Denmark, and Sweden.

NATO no longer exists, but AFD (The Alliance For Democracy, a not-so-subtle name) exists.

The SNP is popular but Britain has not allowed a referendum for Scottish Independence yet.

In Acadia, every town and city hall has been opened up to new flag proposals. Anyone can go to their town hall/city council and submit a flag. The best one in the town will move up to the county, then to the province, until finally 3 contestants are finalized. But Acadians better hurry, you only have until November 28th to submit! in other words, feel free to submit a flag

Hi all! Do you have any questions about the lore so far?

What happened to Germany, since the Americans were more occupied with China postwar?

What is Ireland like? Are the troubles still going on?

Germany was more-or-less the same as it is IOTL, though with a few noticeable differences. The Saarland lasted until 1961, and the Ruhr was a protectorate of the European Coal and Steel Company, named (quite uncreatively) "The Ruhrland Protectorate." Bavaria was also granted independence and was a de facto protectorate of the United States up until in 1971 Bavarian Troubles, where protestors clashed with police and armed forces.

Ireland is... complicated. In '66, Northern Ireland was very briefly an independent state, until the UK revoked that privilege 2 months after the state was proclaimed. Ireland in the modern day is a Nationalist Democracy, and is currently led by
Gníomhaíocht na hÉireann Anois! (usually called the GHNHEA), a populist party appealing to the conservative Irish voter.

What is the situation in Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh?
Pakistan is a radical Islamist rogue state and doesn't have many allies. Sri Lanka is about the same as it is in our timeline, though for a while it was under an oppressive communist regime. Bengalistan (Bangladesh) is a close ally of the USSR and is controlled by the Bengali Liberation Party.

So are drones used in war and civilian applications as much as OTL?
War Drones are de jure outlawed by the UN, but legal loopholes and "well its technically not a done its a uav!1!!!!" makes that law practically worthless.

Civilian Drones are still used, even more often than IOTL, especially in East Asia.

In 1968, in order to distance East Germany from its capitalist heritage and to celebrate its new Communistic Constitution, Walter Ulbricht had a flag referendum, similar to Canada's years prior.

Designed by Erika Kalich in Leipzig, Die Volksrepublikflagge caught the eye of Volksprasident Ulbricht, and was implemented shortly after. Erika Kalich is still alive today, and she is a popular figure in Leipzig.

Love it, but wouldn't it make sense for the seal to have this tricolor going around the wheat rather than the old one?
