Southern Victory Idea?

This is just a idea I had about a confederate victory that isn’t just successful but they achieve much of their goals and experience a great amount of early luck. The rough draft is below. I would like people thoughts on it.

The South secedes as OTL but due to some bad decisions by Lincoln he alienates more people in the south and north. Besides the OTL states Kentucky and Missouri secede too by slight majority. Maryland tries to but is occupied by union troops who are more harsh and brutal in the state then OTL. The confederates experience a string of major victories early in the war. This is due to a mix of union incompetence, good leadership, and raw luck. They march into Maryland and take DC hoping the taking of the city would be a big enough symbolic victory to crush union morale causing the Union to make peace before the union could rebound and defeat them. Britain and France recognize CSA after the victory. Northerners force Lincoln to make peace after civil unrest, international influence, public views, and political opposition(to the point of threatening impeachment) becomes too much and the war is ended in a year or two. Plus the OTL states, the south now has Missouri, Kentucky, Indian territory(Oklahoma), Maryland, Arizona, New Mexico, and southern tip of Nevada. The south even convinces the US to give Liberia to them due to the north lacking blacks to send there anymore and the confederates claiming to be the most able in “civilizing and guiding” freeman into the modern world. The British and French agree to this under the condition blacks from Liberia can’t be transported back to the Americas which CSA agrees too(doesn’t always follow it those. Low level kidnapping being common). The Confederate capital is moved to DC.

The south builds strong ties with Britain and France who both invest and help the CSA. The Confederates first help the French in Mexico soon after the civil war. The Confederates take northern Mexico and the Yucatán region while letting France install its puppet government in the rest of it. The Confederates brings slavery into these regions but also reestablishes the caste system in Latin American and Caribbean held lands they take to gain support from the local elites. They will repeat this with future gains in the region. This system drifts into core confederate states like Louisiana, Florida, and to most states west of the Mississippi River.

In the late 1860s Lee gets elected. He tries to slowly emancipate the slaves but fails. Lee then tries to industrialize the nation somewhat due to him understanding the problems the lack of industry causes for the military and in hope that it will also lead to eventually emancipation. His industrialization programs focuses mostly on light industry, weapons manufacturing, railroads, and naval production. He often uses his renown and the confederate military to bypass many states opposition to his problems. Much of this depends on foreign investment and government support. During these years a new class forms within the confederacy which is made up of military elites who are also heavily involved in the government. Them and the aristocratic class sometimes come into conflict with each other but due to them having a great amount of overlap and mingling they just play as a balancing force to each other. Most railroads, naval, and weapons industry are state run or funded. Light industries like textiles and alcohol production are run by small local businessmen or aristocratic families. Poor whites start flooding into cities for factory or take up military jobs while slaves and indentured labor(other non-whites. Mostly mix people and some Asians) do rural labor like farming, mining, and railroad construction. The Confederates actually start giving certain native Americans rights and privileges as leverage against the US out west. Oklahoma is a official native American state within the confederacy and native Americans of the five civilized tribes or other tribes considered assimilate enough are given “honorary white” status. This is usually only given to the tribes that use to live in the south. The Western and Latin American natives are usually considered below everyone but blacks. In the mid 1870s the confederates come into conflict with Spain and end up taking the Spanish Caribbean during the war. In the late 1870s the United States and Confederates go to war again over issues out west. The unprepared United States is caught off guard by a confederacy that has been becoming a heavily militarized republic and expanding its industry over the past decades to deal with any possible internal or external threats. The Confederates blitz towards Philadelphia(now the US capital) before taking it. The sweep into the west with great success. The US sues for peace within the year. Delaware and Southern California parallel with confederate lands is annexed by the confederacy. Deseret is given independence as a buffer state. By the 1880s the Confederates is probably the most powerful American republic. Expansion in Latin America continues into Latin America during the next few decades through the mix of purchases of European held lands and filibustering. Central America is under confederate control. France(after pulling out of Mexico) and Netherlands have sold the confederates all their American holdings. After Mexico pushed France out of the country the confederates invaded it and annexed the rest of the country. Britain only gives the Confederates Belize and mosquito coast. The Confederates even expand into the Pacific somewhat by taking Hawaii and port in China. They even start building ties with Japan. By the 1890s the Confederates build the Panama Canal and a few others in Central America with slave labor. The conditions, treatment, and persistent use of slavery causes international outrage. The Confederates finally ban slavery by 1900 but replace it with strict segregation, caste systems, and things like sharecropping. In the early 1900s the confederacy invades and annex Haiti and the Dominican Republic to “help stabilize” the island. In truce the were now more willing to take it because with slavery gone the free black population at least within their minds would be more easily integrated into the confederate system. South America being Confederate allies(Brazil the biggest one) or puppets(like Columbia or Venezuela)

The United States after the Wars becomes more and more focused on solely industry and staying out of conflict especially after the second war with the confederates. They do build up defense on the borders and navy after the second war and drift closer to Germany but other then that they try to avoid regular conflict. The United States also becomes much more Germanic and classical liberal in culture. The still experience large immigration to the country while the confederates not so much. The United States being the biggest industrial powers while the confederates and to lesser extent Britain depend on raw resources and control of trade
