Sounds like the Beatles in a timeline where the Germans won. They did actually release some big hits of theirs in German. I know I’ve heard their German version of “I wanna hold your hand.”
 
Maybe the Beatles don't disband and John Lennon doesn't die, and we get to the Reagan era where they would sympathize with Reagan. Reagan was very popular with Democrats and took a lot of Democratic voters in both 1980 and 1984 and there was a whole movement called "Democrats for Reagan".
