Hello and welcome to what in my opinion, what would've happened following the 1936 start date of the mod for Hearts of Iron, Kaiserreich.
Chapter 1: Ain't I Right
"Everywhere I hear the sound of marching, charging feet, boy
'Cause summer's here and the time is right for fighting in the street, boy
But what can a poor boy do?
Except to sing for a Rock 'n' Roll band
'Cause in sleepy London town
There's just no place for a street fighting man, no
Hey so the time is right for a palace revolution
'Cause where I live the game to play is compromise solution"- The Rolling Stones, 1968
The year of 1936 started out as any other, more street battles, the German economy going down that resulted in the the Berlin Stockmarket Crash of 1936 and Black Sunday for the Untied States, note that the Berlin Stockmarket Crash couldn't have been timed for a more perfect time. The United States and the whole world was frankly in a mess. The Ottoman Empire was on the brink of a Civil War and so was the United States. The Americans had been locked in economic depression since 1925. After Black Friday in 1925 Berlin replaced New York as the economic capital of the world. For 11 years the United States was a neo-third world country. Many in the North like Jack Reed, who visted London and Paris, the dark hearts of the Syndicalist threat to the Untied States and the German Empire. The Union of Britain and the Commune of France had both been around since 1925 after simaltaneous revolutions in each nation. However Both were growing ever increasinly totalitarian.
In the Union meeting of 1936 in Britian, it was in the dark halls and rooms of the "Palace of the People," formerly known as Buckingham Palace. In the conference Oswald Mosley and his Totalists won control of the Peoples Parliment. Mosley assumed complete contorl of the government and converted the Peoples Parliment into what another Minister there Eric Blair said, "The Peoples Parliment was turned into the Peoples place where they can complain."
Blair himself would later go into hiding and assumed the name of Geroge Orwell as he lived on the coast in a small house on the Isle of Jura off the coast of Scotland. There Blair hoped that he could escape Britain to Ireland. In that time under the alias of Orwell he wrote a book called 1963, which detailed a world in 30 years that would be dominated by Totalist style Communism. The book itself was set in London but the nation it was set in was the "State of Oceania" fighting a perpetual war against the "Commune eurasienne", and a death worshipping Indochinese lead East Asian nation called the "Saigon Junta." Orwell later fell back under his original name following the Second Welkreig and started the "New Labour" Party after the new government was formed. The British army itself went through a series of Purges, with officers being replaced by Totalist Stalwarts. To simply put it Mosley wanted to turn Britian red, and the shade he wanted.
Wrangel's troops march down a Petrograd street during the March Coup
Following Alexander Kerenskys assasination in Russia, there was a great fear of a second civil war, as the army and the mensheviks both looked poised to launch a Coup, and thats exactly what happened. On March 1st, Unites of the Petrograd garrison lead by Minister of the Army Pyotr Wrangel marched troops on the Winter Palace and raised the 1866 Romanov Flag above it. Wrangel declared himself sitting president of the Republic and abolished the Duma. Wrangel began to round up leading members of the Mensheviks, and they were either shot or sent to prison. By the next month Russian troops paraded down streets in the DKU (Don-Kuban Union) as the country united behind the strong Wrangel. Russian military and industrial spending soared through the roof as the nation began rapid modernization and militarization. Wrangel despised another man, a Russian by the name of Baron Roman von Ungern-Sternberg, controlling the nation of Mongolia. The "Mad Barons" grip on the country was one that was similar to Mosley's Britain. Ungern-Sternberg also in the middle of 1936 went to war with Ma Clique, destroyign them and forming the "Mongol Empire", or as the Mad Baron called it, the Great Khanate. Sternberg himself declared himself Ghengis Khan II and began a path of destruction across China.
