I'm not sure if you're working on the first version but maybe something like this would be better for the current version (current version has the most progress)
(Mostly fixes for Syria and Lebanon but I had to completely revamp israel.
Suggestion: cut Kaesong out of the NK province south of the 38th parallel. That region historically belonged to Gyeonggi Province.
Kaesong belongs to North Korea, right?
Historically, Kaesong belongs to Gyeonggi Province, which for the most part, is part of South Korea. However, not all territory that is North Korean and South of the 38th parallel is part of historical Gyeonggi. The western half of that area was part of historical Hwanghae Province, which Kaesong is not part of.
When comparing Sakha and N Korea, it appears that provincial density is WAAAAY too different. I know Sakha has roughly 1 mill people in it, but still... the pop. i large enough, I mean it is the largest 1st LVL admin div in world, so could get a double number of provs perhpas
