Reading about Kim Il Sung's past he claimed he was raised Presbyterianism and that his father had gone to a missionary school and was an elder in the Presbyterian Church. So WI Kim stayed Presbyterian and converted North Korea into a Christian communist nation.
Knowing how much this would cause butterfly, I have 2 scenarios.
1. In this atl, the Korean War ends up happening and NK ends up like otl at the end of the cold war, but with the people being Presbyterian and the Kims being the leaders of the Church.
2. In this atl, the Korean War is butterflied, and NK looks like a Korean/Presbyterian version of an Eastern European Soviet satellite member of the Warsaw Pact by the end of the cold war.
How would the world react to NK in these scenarios?
