Since its foundation, the Iberian army has been better trained and organized. After capturing Navarre in 1985, the "Guerra de las Banderas" (Flags War) ignited, which divided the confederation between the "Tradicionalistas" (traditionalists, or carlists factions that survived in Pamplona and Navarre) of the smaller Juntas and the "Unionistas" of the militarist government of Jaca. War lasted from 1985 to 1989, until the government of Jaca and the traditionalists agreed ceasefire and the start of talks that culminated in the Covenants of the Royal Palace of Olite, which established the Confederate government the way since then endures.
In parallel with the War of the Flags, it took place from 1986 to 1996 the Yoke´s War (the yoke and arrows were an emblematic symbol of the Falangist Party), against the falangists who ruling in Burgos and their satellites, the falangist warlords of Calatayud, Molina de Aragón, Daroca and Sigüenza (on Soria and Guadalajara provinces, which were set on less affected by fallout), who gradually conquered by the Iberians. Finally in 1996 the municipality of Soria joined the Confederacy after expel their fascists rulers, expanding the country on a big chunk of central Spain.

Pre-DD photo of the Zaragoza AFB, located in the city of the same name, in Spain
On 1 January 1980, the support mission of US Air Force expanded when the 406th assumed responsibility for various functional areas in support of the four USAF tropo-scatter communication sites at Humosa, Menorca, Soller, and Inoges. The wing provided this support in cooperation with the 401st TFW assigned to Torrejón AB. Foremost among the accomplishments of the 406th TFTW during 1981 was the preparation and planning for reception of the F-16 Weapons Training Detachments which began in 1982. The 313th TFS of the 50th TFW, Hahn Air Base, Germany, flew the first European F-16C training flights, deployed to Zaragoza, to the Bardenas Reales Weapons Range, starting in late January 1982. All those planes were destroyed on Doomsday, when soviets nuked Zaragoza AFB

Despite being independent in neonotia, it is still the law to swear allegiance to the United States in schools, a law promoted by former President Carter, also implemented in several places in the south and now with the younger generations
