PC: Population transfers within Yugoslavia

Not sure Tito ever gave this a thought, but I'm curious of the plausibility for either attempted or successful population transfers occurring within Yugoslavia before Tito's death to help settle ethnic tension issues.
Thoughts?

Perhaps it could be enacted 'out of an abundance of caution' should some unforeseen future political catastrophe tear Yugoslavia apart; at least then the fragments of the once united nation wouldn't be so inclined to genocidally rampage through one another's territory. It would take some serious forethought on the part of Tito and others in positions of leadership, and it would somewhat dampen the public perception of the government's confidence in its own cosmopolitan promises of an egalitarian present and future. "If we're on the path to socialist equality, it shouldn't matter who lives where, and some mixing together is probably a good thing" would lose some impact as a legitimizing pillar of the nation as a whole if the government is seen as hedging its bets against its own ideology and even its own survival as a political entity in an attempt to lessen the damage of some potential future collapse. Nevertheless, Tito might take a longer term view grounded in a more conservative historical perspective and want to play it safe knowing the racist patterns of war in the Balkans and his unique opportunity to rearrange his portion of the region into a more stable and safe alignment of ethnic and cultural groups, thus leaving a truly positive impact. Alternatively, perhaps an even greater WI is if Tito somehow decided to go all in in the other direction and directly promote as much inter-ethnic mixing as possible with the goal of dissolving the constituent republics within two or three generations, leaving a new fully hybridized Yugoslav ethnicity in its place
