This world has suffered an alternate and somewhat great WWI after an alternate Israel and Germany (both imperialists and with technology equivalent to that of 2014 in their TLs) were ISOTed, this is the world in 1922, 6 years after the end of the Great War:

Sure enough, a Cold War erupted between Israel and Germany, both vying for total domination, the tension culminated in the outbreak of open war in 1964 and culminated with the treaty of Washington in 1972 after an extremely devastating barrage by kinetic orbital weapons deployed by Israel. The Israel were careful not to completely break Germany's power, however, as this world's native nations progressed to OTL 1972 level of technology and after exhausting their kinetic weapon supplies (each satellite can be used only once, a fearful coalition of world power could annihilate the state with a nuclear barrage.

And this is quite another world, again, an alternate fascist Israel was ISOTed and allied with Japan, Germany and Italy, however, after learning of the Antisemitic sentiments in the Third Reich, the Israeli were careful not to sell them any weaponry that is more advanced than that of OTL 1960 and ensured a Soviet occupation and annextation of Poland, Romania, Afghanistan, the Baltic States and Mongolia and it's acceptance as an Axis power, WWII started with Soviet annexation of Poland (and German annexation of Danzig and most of the Polish Corridor) and ended in 1942 in a decisive Axis victory after the France switched side, tempted by Israeli offers to sell them advanced technology and Spain joining the Axis for the same reason. This is the world in 1945.

My own ASB map based on the WWI map game, basically an alien invasion in 1926 forced the Earth to unite against the common threat (expect for Russia and the Ottoman remnant who were trying to ally with the invaders).
This is the world in 1976.

Nope, the Aliens were actually defeated (not due to anything We humans did though, just some nasty Terran germs).The pink color is a nation called the UPS (nited People's Republic), that nation was created several years after WWI after Communists were elcted into power in France and Belgium and later the Netherlands. After the invasion of 1926 the UPS annexed the Iberian Union (The first Euro-Communist nation in TTL created after TTL Spanish civil war which erupted only four years after the end of WWI in 1916), Syndicalist Britain (yep, Syndicalists took over after an economic collapse) and Communist Italy, along with all remaining colonies of said nation.
