More succesful Parthians

Rome never managed to conquer them. In fact they very often lost to them.

Before the Romans came onto the scene Parthians had an empire that reached the mediterranean. But they declined since then, and often Romans were getting involved in their internal affairs.

Now, WI Parthians would have been more succesful. Is it possible to get an almost repeat of the persian empire, with Parthians succesfully snatching Anatolia and/or Egypt?

The problem is that the Persians always had something of a lustre about them, which is why they were able to take control of the Parthian territory in a moment of weakness. They carry the legacy of the Achaemenid Empire simply in their continous existence, and they themselves are heirs to the Elamite civilization which was already millenia old by this time.
