I'm sorry if this isn't on-topic for an alternate history forum. However, I'm trying to gather information about the Russian Civil War, but for some reason I can't find any info on this weird "Kara Sea", which is shown on the map below:
It also shows up on youtube videos on the Russian Civil War. It's obviously some sort of holdout White administration, but I've spent hours pouring through Google search results for "Kara Sea Russian Civil War", with no luck. Most of the hits are something about oil, some others are just basic info on the Kara Sea (as in the body of water), and a few are about 18th and 19th century exploration of the region, but I can't find anything about the Civil War. Does anybody know anything about this?
