Is there any way anyone can think of to make a Native American version of the Columbus expedition?

Feel free to make a PoD as far back as you want, and build any civilizations you wish. I just want to know if you think that it's possible.

Oh, and any links to threads about this topic would be much appreciated.

Question: Would the Native Americans have to arrive in their destination before or after Columbus? (IF Columbus still existed after some kind of PoD)

This scenario could happen if the Aztec Triple Alliance had truly united their groups together as one, they could have consolidated their power in the whole region. This would have even scared their enemies, the Tlaxcallans, from attacking them. They then could focus their efforts on "science", instead of religious reform, and war with their Tlaxcallan enemies (like in OTL). Had this happened, then maybe they could have developed the technology for an overseas expedition. A PoD of some date before these events would NEED to happen.

How do you imagine this concentration on science to work??? This is not a civilization game orso where you can set the science level.

Science as a concept didn't exist even. The Aztecs had no concept of science as we know it. The had applied skills like engineering etc, but no national program for the advancement of science. Think you are putting a 20th centur concept on a 15 century situation.
