So when we talk about colonization of Africa we always talk about people of European descent settling into Africa, what about Indians? Could've we perhaps create a few majority Indian colonies (and somewhere in the 21st century, countries) I think about colonial governments importing Indians into Cameroon and Kenya to work in the tea plantations, thus creating a cute racial hierarchy with white landowners at the top, the majortiy middle class Indians, and natives who basically have no rights (as usual....)
What do you think?

When what is now Kenya became 'British East Africa' it did receive significant Indian immigration... although, I think, more as merchants & townsfolk than as plantation workers. For a while, it was the Indian rupee that served as the colony's main currency. IIRC the white settlers passed legislation limiting further Indian immigration because they were worried about becoming outnumbered (and out-voted?).
