So, here are a list of the various wars in the Red Alert timeline:

Historical (1924-2010)
  • German Revolution (1927-30)-Communist German Victory. Consequences: Germany becomes Communist. Would be Nazis are killed or flee. World War II is delayed.
  • Chinese Civil War (1927-37)-Communist Chinese Victory. Consequences: Far greater Communist victory due to Soviet Assistance.
  • Second Sino-Japanese War (1937)-Communist Chinese Victory. Consequences: Sino-Soviet alliance pushes back Japan significantly.
  • Human-Martian War (1938)-Human Victory. Consequences: US greatly damaged while Superman aided in reducing damage in the Soviet Union.
  • Pacific War (1941-6)-Capitalist US Victory. Consequences: Japan is on its own with no Axis to join. Imperial mindset remains as defeat is not total due to "Stabbed in the back" element resulting from coup during US invasion.
  • World War II (1950-3)-Communist Chinese Victory. Consequences: Soviet Union occupies most if not all of Europe. Several weapons the Nazis used on Earth One during World War II have their use delayed until this time.
  • British Revolution (1950)-Fascist Britain Victory. Consequences: Arguably a front of World War II. US alienates UK by accidentally devastating London. IngSoc seizes power.
  • Italian Revolution (1950)-Communist Italian Victory. Consequences: Arguably a front of World War II. Benzino Napaloni toppled from power. Fascism fades somewhat but is not discredited as much since this world never experienced the Nazis.
  • World War III (1972)-Draw. Leaning on Communist Soviet Victory. Consequences: Mexico goes communist and Chicago is nuked. Romanov and Yuri removed from power. Scandal leads to President being removed from office.
  • Superman's attack on Washington (1983)-Capitalist US Victory. Consequences:Superman disappears, thought dead. At cost of Lex Luthor as well. Shortest conflict on list as well as fewer casualties. Recorded at 2 until they reappeared alive. Making it 0 casualties. The Loss of Superman is considered a greater loss to the Soviets than that of Luthor
  • World War IV (1986-8)- Communist Italian Victory. Consequences: Collapse of the Us due to EMP blast and nuke on Washington. Soviet Occupation.
  • Second American Revolution (1991-7)- Sort of Capitalist US Victory. Consequences: US States become independent from Soviet occupation but are still divided.
  • Eight Hour War (1999)-Fascist Volgan Victory: Consequences: Volgan occupation of Britain.
  • Second British Revolution (2004-9)- Capitalist UK Victory: Consequences: Uk breaks free from Volgan occupation. Volgan Republic returns to Soviet Union.
I also considered at one point adding in Red Flood since Germany goes communist there as well, but it seemed superfluous aside from just a mention of France going Avante Garde.

Yeah, especially since the other major alteration to a country in Red Flood besides Avant-Garde France and Communist Germany is Kolchak ruling Russia, which would be incompatible with the rest of the timeline.

OK. If you couldn't tell, I was thinking of it being a submod of Red World (hence the 2010 start date). Now, the starting situation of the Soviet Union is in place:

Note: For leaders which I haven't found a fictional counterpart, I use <leader name equivalent> as a placeholder.

Union of Soviet Socialist Republics
Ideology: Antipovism
Premier: Nikita Dragovich (Call of Duty: Black Ops)

Situation: Since the dawn of the 20th century, the history of Russia has been one of tumult. While the Soviet Union was on the top of the world in foreign affairs, internally political chaos and contrasting administrations have destabilized the country, with fall of the fascist Volgan regime and the restoration of the USSR having only occurred a year ago. As the life of Premier Dragovich draws to a close, factions begin to vie for power, including the Ultranationalists led by Vladmir Makarov, the status-quo Antipovists led by <Zyuganov equivalent>, the Commie Nazis led by <Rutskoy equivalent>, and if their leader's exile is repealed, the Reformists led by Illya Nickovitch Kuryatkin, causing a power struggle that may bring down the Pax Sovietica.

How about Iskander Evseyev (possible image here, based off of this guy)? Through given the planned Red World reworks, he'd take over if the USSR collapses into Russia rather than be a normal leader candidate, the White Masks(Fictionalization Verse equvilent: COD Ultranationalists) coup the government, and their Odnopravilist(Fictionalization-Verse equvilent of Nazbol) wing takes over(with Makarov replacing Barkashov as the Nazi/Fascist Russia leader).

What happens in Red World is that eventually if the Nazbols take over, Limonov(maybe Zakhaev here?) eventually gets assassinated and is succeeded by either Dugin or a Stalinist with nationalistic tendencies and I'm thinking Evseyev might fit either successor choice here(I'm thinking probably the Dugin analogue, with Victor Zakhaev as the Nina Andreyeva analogue due to the RW lore having Andreyeva as the "status quo" successor of Limonov).

American People's Commonwealth: Mostly OTL New England. Are Socialist but decry the Soviet Union. Secret HYDRA agent and public SHIELD Agent Alexander Pierce becomes President, leading to the land being dubbed "Alexandria"(Captain America, In the Comics, Pierce held the Secretary of Defense Position in the 2000's when in real life Donald Rumsfeld did. "Alexandria" here is a play on Rumsfledia. Pierce would likely resemble his MCU incarnation, meaning Robert Redford. I don't have a Bernie Sanders analogue at the moment though...maybe Montgomery Burns?).
American Republic: Several states merged to form the official remnants of the US. Largely the Bible Belt or Southern States.
Union of American People's Republics: Remained loyal to the Soviet Union and under Johnny Cyclops, initially. Cleopatra Jones is a potential current leader.
Union of the Heartlands: Formerly Heartland under the Soviets. Remained under the leadership of Peter Bradford.
Great Lakes Republic: Unitary Republic
Montana: A Fascist Dictatorship
Lincoln: Neo-Nazi State
Texas: Was reduced due to an invasion by Mexico
Temperance(Illinois): Liberal
Deseret(Utah): Conservative
Arizona: Democrat. Southwest was dissolved when Mexico retakes New Mexico and most of taken, leaving only Arizona

I feel that Alexander Pierce is too Fascistic for the APC due to HYDRA's associations with Nazi Germany, he and HYDRA could potentially work as the White Phoenix equivalent through, having fully taken over the branch of SHIELD in New England and turned it into a terror organization.

American Republic would be led by some sort of authoritarian right winger with the Purge villains/NFFA being the David Duke analogue and a possible Gilead route(KKK analogue). Or alternatively, since Donald Rumsfeld is the starting leader, they could start off as having being secretly infiltrated by HYDRA with Pierce as the leader

Montana and Lincoln are both neo nazi states should be both led by fictional white nationalist(look up any really racist villain, maybe Jack from Breaking Bad leads Montana), with Lincoln being more crypto-Odnopravilist in ideology.

Also side note, this guy could make for a very cursed neo-militarist leader of Japan in either Red World(where Japan is planned on having a Fascist path where they remilitarize) owning to some similarities with Shintaro Ishihara(namely the "split from the ruling party and form a even further right party" thing), who's also the leader of the Fascist faction of the LDP in RW.

A lot of this works, though I should point out that due to World War II being with the Soviets and no Nazi Germany, HYDRA would not have the affiliation with the Nazis on this world.

I still do not think he fits as the starting leader of the APC given that the APC leader is meant to be Noam Chomsky, who is fighting against authoritarians, so would have to be one of the more anti-authoritarian fictional political figures. If he is in the APC I feel he'd work better as the John Holdren analogue, being aligned with the authoritarians and seeking to subvert the APC's more democratic factions.

The White Phoneix equivalent could be the Sons of Jacob through rather than Gilead being a possible route for the AR on that regard given that the APC’s Fascist route in normal RW is supposed to be based on Handmaiden’s tale, on this note, the KKK coup against the New Founding Fathers if they get into power could be led by this guy.

Also I think since we have Bill Gates be a technocratic option for the AOC, maybe Mr. Burns would fill his role instead in the APC?

Some ideas for the Millennium Dawn version:
  • My idea for its name is Hearts of Fiction: The Last Century.
  • The game could start in November 1999 rather than January 2000 so the player isn't immediately hit with the Y2K bug.
  • Some ideas for the starting national spirits of the United States:
    • Widespread Distrust: "After a century of coverups, conspiracies and infiltrations, the trust of the American people in their government has been worn down to almost nothing. While the country is not at the brink of collapse, the government's ability to enforce mandates is severely reduced, and the mental health of its citizens has worsened."
    • Imminent Doom: "While the government does not believe anything will happen, some citizens are speculating that a great catastrophe of some sort will occur on January 1st, 2000. People are panic buying and fleeing the cities, with some areas experiencing rioting, looting and unrest."
    • The Dark Age of Superheroes: "Ever since the giant squid attack on Metropolis in 1986, Supers, once regarded as infallible defenders of justice, have come under heavy criticism. In addition, the rise of a new generation of Supers in the late 1980s and early 1990s, who are more willing to kill or seriously harm criminals, have both caused rifts within the Super community and further worsened Super/non-Super relations."
    • Legacy of 1996: "In July 1996, the Earth faced its largest and most devastating alien invasion since the Human-Martian War 98 years prior: the Human-Harvester War, or the War of 1996. While the attack was eventually repelled, the invading force had successfully destroyed several major cities around the world. Even over 3 years later, much of the country's infrastructure is in ruins and entire sections of many cities have yet to be rebuilt."
    • Pax Americana: "With the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, the United States was left as the strongest human polity. This gives the US immense respect and power, but has also made it many enemies and extended their forces thin. Time will tell if the Pax Americana will last, or if it will fall like the Pax Britannica before it."

Honestly all these could work, though I have the Soviet Union surviving until at least 2001 since it survived to 1997 at the latest going by Escape from New York , but that could change. I'm also not sure if it would be the last century if we do a post apocalyptic setting.

Thanks! I picked the name because, due to there being so many apocalyptic threats, it has the potential to be the last century of human civilization as we know it.

hello just read this thread and id like to suggest adam dressler from fuhrerreich as a possible leader of germany
Weird situation. He’s a character from a mod based on a book that exists within an alternate universe where Hitler never rose to power. Here though he did just as Hynkel. Also my approach to Kaiserreich is merging it with a few other timelines including Timeline 191. So there would be Jake Featherston. If Dressler was still fictional then it would be akin to the novel “it can’t happen here” where a dictator rises in America but swapped to Germany. A reversal of that world’s fate.

i was thinking maybe they could get transported into this universe via the man in the high castle portal idea which was mentioned
Ok. That's kinda tricky for a few reasons. For one thing there'd be a focus tree to get him which includes following the science that leads to the portal opening.

If he's fictional than he really wouldn't exist in the main fictionalization since his whole thing is "What if Germany went fascist" asked in a world where it didn't. He'd most likely be fictional in The equivalent of Timeline 191/Kaiserreich where Fuhrerreich is a book. If he does exist in that universe and he is fictional than he'd most likely be present in the story via something like Last Action Hero where a fictional character is brought out of the real world, likely using the magic ticket from that film except a fanatic brings him from a movie adaptation of Fuhrerreich to Lead Germany, but even then that would be Timeline 191/Kaiserriech mixed universe not the main one.

If he's set in an alternate universe and pulled over, well that kind of works for basically a cameo but I feel he'd lead his own faction, bringing it with him because it would seem strange to make him the successor for Germany when the Red Skull and Wilhelm Strasse are still around. Though I do like the idea of being rewarded with a new leader for the alternate universe research focus tree, though I feel it would need to be some bigger figure, like Darth Vader or Sauron.

So, I decided to collect everything said about various countries in this thread for easier review:
Do you have a link to a document? It would help me see which countries need more stuff. Now Dumanios was making changes but he took a break so if anyone else wants to jump on making this thing then feel free. I’m open to suggestions but I’m more of an idea guy than a programmer.
