Greek as the Primary Language of Christianity

What would it need to make Greek the primary language of Christianity? Comparable to Arabic for Islam.

Considering that the New Testament was written in Greek, potentially not that much. The flip side, however, is that it might limit the appeal of Christianity to the eastern empire.

I wonder in koine Greek being standardised would make hellenisation more rapid in the eastern empire

However wouldn’t early adopters of Christianity like the Armenians be immediately turned into heretics by the forceful imposition of Greek.

I think you'd have to have Rome not be the power centre of the times. That's why the Bishop of Rome became the Pope. You'll probably want to look up the various councils like Nicaea, Ephesus, and Chalcedon to see what the geographical splits were and who had political power next after the Bishop of Rome. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pope#History

A different III Century Crisis might result in Rome prematurely splitting into an East and Wesy which ITTL are much more antagonistic to one another. If the East adopts a Koine Christianity, the West could stifle the nascent Latin Church in its cradle.
