Okay, I rolled my eyes after seeing After the Downfall on Amazon, laughed cynically when I saw the new Atlantis book, but while browsing on Amazon today, the last thing on my mind was ANOTHER HT book!

And this time it's about Rome.

hmm.... is this a purely historical novel, or an AH novel about the disaster of Teutoberger (?) Wald going the other way? If the latter, then that could actually be a neat idea... HT is fairly good when he sticks to one-shot AH novels...

Considering the title references "Give me back my Legions". It is likely to be related to Varus' loss of three legions in Teutenburg or the campaign of Germanicus that followed. Tacitus covers this campaign. This story would be closer to his historical roots, considering his Phd in Byzantine history.
