George Washington: Third Temer

Assuming George Washington was willing to run for a third term in 1796 (perhaps the events of the French Revolution gave him pause to leave power) and he won, what would his third term look like?

Honestly I wonder if he could win. War hero or not hed be looking pretty damn king like to try it.

I'm pretty confident that he could win. It may not be unanimous like 1788 and 1792, but he was still very popular with key politicians and delegates in 1796.

Or perhaps a president seeing a third term due to a national crisis would become more politically palatable.
that's only twelve years, short enough to not being taken as monopolizing but long enough to do some real big project.

Another possibility is Election Cycle would be simply changed from four to six years, with two terms limit.

Unlikely since that would screw up the syncing the government did with Congression elections/appointment and presidential election
