-Grigory Kulik got 1 MILLION Russian soldiers killed and maimed in the Finnish campaign. I doubt there were more than 150,000 Finnish troops opposing him.
-Kuropatkin was the Russian at Mukden who got about 80,000 Russian soldiers killed, 3x as many taken prisoner, lost the Russo-Japanese war almost single-handedly on land in an idiocy that makes the Russian disasters at sea look like the work of geniuses. He outnumbered Iwao 3-2 in troops, 4-3 in tube artillery, had near parity in machine guns and was on DEFENSE in a well trenched and fortified position with good supplies and a competent (well by Russian standards of the day) staff.
Gamelin and Huntziger were pikers, but they have to fubar a whole order of magnitude above their mistakes to match those three nation shattering losers.
