Electoral Vote Turmoil
November 6th, 1964
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Crowds gather to protest Tuesday’s election results after the Electoral College was split 269-269 between current President Kennedy and potential president Nixon. The addition of Washington D.C. to the Electoral College was make or break for Kennedy, who would have lost without it’s three electoral votes.
The campaign of President Kennedy was rocked with scandal from the get-go, with the press reporting possible election fraud, as well as the naming of his brother, Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy as his vice-presidential nominee.
Though Nixon won the popular vote by a narrow margin, the House of Representatives is in contentious debate over their constitutional vote for President of these United States.
Kennedy’s presidency was once again rocked with scandal in the past week after recently appointed Soviet leader Brezhnev vowed to bring missile silos to the newly empowered Socialist Republic of Guatemala.
Kennedy denied commenting for this story, but his counterpart Nixon offered this wisdom, “Monroe, Roosevelt, do those names mean anything to these godless commie bastards? Because here in the Americas they mean liberty, and they mean democracy!”
Nixon has also been involved with scandal, with allegations that former senator and staunch Nixon supporter Prescott Bush’s son, oil oligarch George Bush, may have ties to the group of would be assassins who made an attempt on President Kennedy’s life in Dallas just over one year ago. No legal action has been pursued based on these reports yet.
One thing is for certain, soon America will be at rest once the matter of presidency is decided, for now we must put our faith in our President, Jack F. Kennedy, to lead us against the heartless communist tirade.
