Chemical and bio weapons in a 1950's WWIII?

If we assume a POD similar to Turtledove's book series The Hot War, where the Korean War balloons into World War Three*, would chemical or even possibly biological weapons see any use in such a conflict, or would they be buried under the weight of atomic bombs?

*And of course, assuming that the United States doesn't just glass the USSR.

Chemical weapons are certainly possible, bio less so. Actually weaponizing bio weapons, in spite of Col Ishii's work and others, was relatively limited. Furthermore the issue of keeping such a plague from spreading to your own troops is an issue.

Chemical weapons in an early 50s world war is almost a certainty, especially for the soviets who would need it as a counter against NATOs superior nuclear arsenal, and yes, chemical weapons would be quite effective for this purpose.
