As Dreamers Do Part Deux

Hoku is actually doing well out of the spotlight as of December 2007 ITTL.

Meanwhile...

"When we launched MyTV with TimeWarner in 2002, right from the get-go we couldn't agree on what direction to take the network. For the first six or seven years after Disney started the Fox network in 1986, that network was the Wild West. Affiliates in some markets were glorified public access channels...most still ran the same off-network reruns...a lot of kiddie shows with repackaged cartoons made comebacks in some areas...In other places a Fox station would often be a defacto carrier for the nearby NHL, MLB, NBA or college teams. TimeWarner didn't want that. They wanted a full slate of shows right away. That's why we imported all those telenovelas and tried to revive a few obscure Merv Griffin game shows that WB acquired a decade earlier."
- Jeffrey Bewkes on MyTV's quick demise.
So that's why the hell MNTV died so fast...............

Why didn't WB and Bally's make some shows, or at least move some to MyTV?

Or they could have imported something better, like some Asian or European shows.....

And I can already feel that Kids' WB was the only thing on the network that was even as far as remotely successful......

With just eleven shopping days until Christmas, the Screen Actors Guild Wrestlers' Association (SAGWA) has voted unanimously to go on strike. At issue is the demand for a reduced number of untelevised house shows and an offseason across all major wrestling promotions.

The Thief and the Cobbler (1982)
Reissued by Paramount Pictures for the film's 25th Anniversary.
Digital restoration for this reissue was supervised by James C. Katz, the man responsible for the OTL restorations of Spartacus and Vertigo among other films.
Newly discovered, previously unseen footage is added for this reissue without slowing down the overall story.

Only Richard Williams was asked to be part of the restoration.

Sir Daniel was commissioned by both Paramount and Limited Run to design a steelbook for the DVD/Bluray combo pack and the VHS clamshell.
Ah, so they were still helping with the movie, considering how it initially went back in the 80s. I love it.

What happened was that ITTL, Paramount rushed the completion to have it ready for a Christmas '82 release. The scenes that were put back in for this reissue were the same scenes that Richard Williams wanted to include, but was unable to because of time constraints.

So, we have ourselves a legal version of The Recobbled Cut ITTL, with the actual creator of the movie alive to help fix it. Beautiful.

The rushing of the production of The Thief and the Cobbler was what led to Paramount firing Frank Mancuso, Sr and replacing him with Norman Lear and Rob Reiner two and a half years later.

Frank, Jr also had a long tenure at Paramount where he was involved with the Jason franchise. He left to join Turner in the mid 90s where he was the producer for Hoodlum, Stigmata and the Species franchise. Plus the last two Bonds to feature Pierce Brosnan.

Frank, Jr very recently came back to Paramount for another stint. However, the merger with Turner means Rob Reiner will replace him with longtime Turner exec Barbara Broccoli.

Starting in late 1992, Disney split the Fab Five shorts into two packages for the Disney Channel; Mickey's Mouse Tracks and Donald's Quack Attack. Both packages aired in syndication with Disney partnering with The Program Exchange. Many one-off shorts and a few Fox Movietoons somehow managed to sneak into each.

The opening and closing sequences are pretty much the same as OTL.

For syndicated airings of Quack Attack, the Quack Attack Meter segments usually pop up when coming back from commercial breaks.

Syndication prints usually ended with this:

NBA Christmas Day 2007 Slate

Phoenix Suns at Cleveland Cavaliers (Noon Eastern; ABC)
Los Angeles Lakers at San Diego Clippers (ABC)
Seattle Supersonics at Portland Trailblazers (TNT)

During the halftime of the Lakers/Clippers matchup, Commissioner Jerry West announced that a vote by the Board of Governors on the new TV package for the 2008-09 season will be finalized during the All Star Weekend.

The next phase of voting for the bids can be found in this poll below:

Classic Disney cartoons. Syndication.

This is some variety of madness, I tells ya!
What if someone mixes them up with syndicated WB cartoons?
