I'm afraid I do not understand. I thought you took issue that I made a Republican Socialist in 1900, but now it seems like you're saying it doesn't matter which party the Socialist is from? Or was it just that I said Republicans were more likely to go left.

That said, the wikibox does need lots of work. Some of the names are place holders, I forgot the "Suceeded by" on the Presidential part, some of the print is too large (big oopsie there).

But on the other hand, a world where Booker T could be elected would have completely unrecognizable candidates to our own. Hmmm...

I think for Vice President I'll put in someone older... Let's say Benjamin Harrison? Then I'll put Daniel DeLeon as his sucessor (while we're having fun here). And that's just the first portion of the wikibox, I'll have to work my way down but I feel like the form itself is pretty good (big text not-with-standing).

We'll call it a work in progress.

Keep Booker T. as a Republican. In 1900, the Republicans would be more likely to back a black candidate (the Dixiecrats would never stand for such a thing), but they are not more likely than the Democrats to field a socialist candidate.

What if Clinton won the nomination in 2008?

Too close to OTL.

1. Hillary wouldn't have picked Gore. Evan Bayh was seen as the 'inevitable' VP.
2. McCain wouldn't have picked Palin if Hillary won.
3. Hillary would do a lot better in the south than Obama.

Something like this is much more likely.

Who would McCain choose as running mate then?

Vampire politician, anyone?

A. Thomas Renfield was the one of the first vampires in British politics, and served as Secretary of State for Inhuman Affair for every Tory government between 1951 and 1984. He left politics in 1984 with an OBE and a seat in the House of Lords, for which he has centennial peerage[1].
He built himself string connections in the political and vampiric worlds, and is one of the only two vampires to ever become a minister. He was a friend of Aleister Crowley during the latter's time as Chamberlain and Churchill's Secretary of State for Magical Affairs, and worked for half a dozen Prime Ministers.
A very unique individual:D

[1] Centennial peerage is a term regarding immortal beings in the House of Lords. A centennial peerage entitles the recipient a seat for 100 years. For example, Renfield has his Lords seat until 2084.

It still says Obama, and I think Clinton would've still lost North Dakota, in addition to probably also losing North Carolina and maybe even Virginia.
