A lot of people start out skeptical that what is essentially a cave woman can realistically be more than a speed-bump in modern society and visualize something like "Encino Man". Char is as realistic as I can make her, brilliant, but with flaws and cultural blinders that often trip her up. She and her society also have a crucial flaw that has kept them trapped in the stone age, at least until she sees a modern society in action.
