If You can keep the FAA under Admiralty control then all the better but you might need a pre 1924 POD for that.

A RAF spitfire photographs five ships leaving southern Norway. The admiralty send three hunter groups. 1: The aircraft carriers courageous and glorious, the battle-cruiser hood, the heavy cruiser Suffolk, the light cruiser Curlew and eight destroyers including two tribal class asw destroyers.

2: The aircraft carriers ark royal and furious, the battle-cruisers repulse and renown, the heavy cruiser Norfolk and the light cruiser Coventry, eight destroyers including two tribal class asw destroyers.

3: The aircraft carriers Illustrious and victorious, the battleships KGV and POW, the heavy cruiser Gloucestershire and the light cruiser Manchester and eight destroyers including two tribal class aswdestroyers.

My ALT KGV class battleship

With the LNT coming to an end the admiralty draw up several different plans for their next group of battleships.

The First sea Lord after talks with his French counterpart likes the idea of force de raid but it needs more firepower. So in 1937 HMS Courageous along with HMS Glorious HMS repulse and HMS renown.The first of the new battleships HAS KGV a single heavy cruiser a light cruiser and 10 destroyers leave loch ewe and head out into the Atlantic to conduct simulated strikes on the home fleet.

This will be the first cruise for the new battleship and the most modern battleship in European waters.

3x3 15 inch guns in triple turrets. 40 pom poms in quad mounts for AAA defence and a secret invention radar. The radar is hoped that it will improve gunnery accuracy along with fleet defence .

On the night on the 1st April 1937.50 fairey swordfish lift off from the decks of Glorious and Courageous and head towards scapa flow. The swordfish are carrying flairs to simulate bombs and torpedoes.
