With a POD after 1920, how can the feud be restarted?

Well, it depends on the people involved, but any little thing could spark it off around 1920, seeing as only 40 years have passed.

Well...
According to The Big Book of Thugs, Devil Ance Hatfield died in 1921 so he
does have a chance to set it off again before he dies.
BUT!
The book also notes that by then, the families had actually intermarried
"to an unusual degree". (I'd say "cue jokes about Appalachian spouse-choosing traditions", except it is implied that in this case it isn't one.)
