He's too much of a blustering idiot for that to be realistic. You'd need some significant change in Oskar's earlier life to make this likely, perhaps a different military service in WWI? A chance, earlier, meeting with von Papen and a deeper friendship developing between the two? Oskar gives more support to von Papen's attempt to become Chancellor in '33 and Oskar gets the job later down the line?
