How it's possible to get a division of Austria following occupation zones like in Germany, with the creation of two states equivalent to FRG/DRG?
Having just looked this one up, I'm surprised it didn't happen,.
Well, while you're talking about this, why it didn't happened in first place?
The Khruschev thaw happened. A small East Austria would be difficult to transform into an economic powerhouse, so with less serious international tensions there was less of an incentive to create one and more to be gained by having an independent neutralized Austria.
Czechoslovakia and Hungary wouldn't annex territories filled with Germans, especially after trying so hard to get rid of all their Germans. The Soviet Zone was smaller, but by population mostly equal.
I doubt that the Western "Zone" would have survived as easily as the Eastern.
But it might be that instead of 2 Austrias we would get Austria annexed to neightbouring countries.
Wild Wet dream: Czechoslovakia with a Danube southern Border, Burgenland and Southern Niederösterreich part of Hungary. Vienna as part of Soviet Union (Czench and Hungarians can't agree who gets it )
Kärnten and Steiermark as part of Yugoslavia (7th republic )
Vorarlberg to Switzerland and Tirol to Italy. Leaves Salzburg and parts of Upper Austria - hard to believe, but they could be German today...

Could we see an expulsions of a significant number of Germans from soviet Austria and the area annexed to Bohemia, with Burgenland going to Yugoslavia and getting a Croat majority esential creating the proposed Czech corridor of 1919.

Yeah....thats not realistic. If they don't establish an independent DRA, they'll most likely give Eastern Austria to the DDR.
The only way I can imagine it could work is if the Sudetenland was granted to East Austria, giving them a border with East Germany and so enabling some unity. I doubt Stalin would allow it though, neither would the Czechs (though if Stalin did allow it the Czechs would have little say in the matter). Not having common borders and being split by the FRG isn't going to be an issue?
