I'd like to request 2 flags for Greece, based on the two-headed Eagle on the national flag from the 19th century uprisings. Would it look better centered, or on the upper left canton?

The second is the modern Greek flag with the two-headed eagle over a cross in the canton.

Thanks!

James

I've just finished this flag for a monarchy of mine...
The problem is, that I have two, slightly different versions :p
One has four suns whilst the other one does not.

Which one do you prefer?
(And yes, I do know some things about heraldry now... The coat of arms on the flag is not "correct" as some would call it... but hell, it's MY picture :p I can do whatever I want :D)

The text on the bottom of the coat.o.a, says "For a united future" in Swedish... I'll change that to latin some day.

Thanks

The one with the suns does look better, though I'd suggest either replacing the bottom most sun with a different, though similar thing, or replace the top three with something else.

I see what you mean.
The reason as to why they all look the same, is that I wanted them to create the shape of a cross, if you draw lines left-to-right and up-to-down.

Still, thanks for your comment:) I'll see what I can do about it:cool:

Yeah, I noticed the cross, actually, now that I thought of the word (how I forgot the word crown I have no idea), but perhaps use three different symbols to create the cross.

The left, right and bottom (hands and feet) could be one symbol, the top one (crown) could be another and you could add one at th intersection of the lines (the heart) to represent the aspects of the body of Christ within the Cross itself.

Too bad the crown is in the way :p
The crown could be the represent of christ! (King of jews?)
Hmm

The flag of the Siberian Soviet Socialist Republic, the Soviet Republic that becomes the Eurasian Federation in a TL I'm doing.

The EF flag is similiar, without the Hammer & Sickle and different shades fo green and blue, have'nt decided if I want to add the continent to the EF flag yet or not.

Hey look! I made a flag. Constructive criticism welcome, but it is my first so do please be nice.

This is from a TL I've been kicking around which involves an early death of Napoleon, who is succeeded by Eugène I (de Beauharnais), who creates the house of Bonaparte-Wittelsbach. I know he's neither of these, but noble families are made by this kind of audacity.

I wouldn't add landmasses to flags. They are generaly frowned upon, unless it looks really really good.

There are two major problems with this image:

1. It's a JPG.

2. There is a massive and pointless white area all around the flag.
