A Boy is Born to the Duke and Duchess of York in 1930

So Princess Margaret is born male.

Let's say Edward VIII still abdicates and male Margaret's character reflects OTL Margaret's character as far as their different position allows.

What happens?

Him will become king of United Kingdom after George VI. When monarch haven't real power anything outside of royal family wouldn't change.

Sure, the political effects would not be noticeable, but what about the cultural effects?

The Monarchs' gender butterflies a fair bit politically. Even though the Monarch doesn't hold much power, the simple fact that you get anther King will have a major effect on politics and culture.

Assuming that Prince Matthew/King George VII lives for roughly the same time as Margret IoTL, then you'll have a reign lasting from 1953-2002. Also assuming that George VII has the same temperament and a similar personality as Margret (for the sake of the argument because the butterflies are in their hundreds), then you also have a fiercely intelligent elitist chain smoker lacking hubris, refers to Irish as Pigs, and conducts numerous extramarital affairs.

Sounds like someone that could make British Republicanism more than a fringe political opinion, although i doubt that it in and of it self would be enough to push it far enough to become anywhere near a majority opinion

This putative King would have been thoroughly trained, service in the forces (probably the RN) etc. He wouldn't have been the spare like Margaret OTL and thus would have had much less freedom. Admittedly he could turn into Edward VIII V2 but it is unlikely, given that he would have duty before self drilled into him.
What would happen to Elizabeth in this scenario? Would she take the Margaret route or would she still mainly be the person we have OTL?
