1981: Anwar Sadat survives assassination

If Sadat had not been assassinated in 1981, would the Middle East have been any different today from OTL? Sadat had been a Nazi agent in WW2 (he wore tiny swastikas on his tie when he visited Israel in 1977!), but he seemed to have been reconciled to the Jewish State. However if Israel hadn't ceded all of Sinai back to Egypt in 1982, he would probably have started another war. With what consequences?

Sadat reaction to the Israeli invasion of Lebanon after the ’77 peace is questionable. He might have made some anti Israeli statements.
If the Sinai was still in Israeli hands, no Lebanon invasion. Cause the southern front was be still hostile.
The rise of islamist and the unpredictability of the PLO, is what brought Sadat to the peace talks.

Imagine Sadat saying to Israel in 1977
“The Sinai shall not be free til Palestine is free”
Chances are he would be alive now retired in a villa overlooking the Nile.
