  1. Munich Shuffle: 1938-1942

Wait what? I have read of various antics years ago on the board but never heard of that one, is there a link to read about it?
  2. Sequel de Mayo (Cinco de Mayo, Vol. II)

Bolivia seems to have caught victory disease from Chile... We have seen Bolivia, how is Peru doing in the meanwhile? IIRC they also had a few border disputes with meighbors at this time...
  3. Sequel de Mayo (Cinco de Mayo, Vol. II)

Would any of these states gain full statehood rights following the 1990s desegregation? I could maybe see some of them wanting to push for it to guarantee more influence in national politics. Though the CSA government may not necessarily want to do that.
  4. Wrapped in Flames: The Great American War and Beyond

Why do I have a feeling that the Palmerston government is about to fall once this Emergency of 1867 is over and done with?
  5. Sequel de Mayo (Cinco de Mayo, Vol. II)

So, to summarize what I expect most of the CS states to look like: Virginia: War-devastated and lost quite a bit of its state territory. Probably has a heavier US presence now, and will for quite a while. I expect whatever politicians from here are left to fall in line with the government in NC...
  6. Sequel de Mayo (Cinco de Mayo, Vol. II)

Remind me in 10 months. ;) And that has to be the most original way to trigger *WW1 I have seen on the board in quite a while. Very well done.
  7. Sequel de Mayo (Cinco de Mayo, Vol. II)

Why do Southern politicians always have the silliest names? Like, the guy was probably a racist, but come on. That is a cool name right there.
  8. Sequel de Mayo (Cinco de Mayo, Vol. II)

You always have the best meme reactions ready for TTl, love it
  9. Wrapped in Flames: The Great American War and Beyond

I largely agree that Lee would probably never run in 1867 if given the chance, even if people think he would at the time. Of course this leaves the 1867 election wide open. I have seen quite a few depictions of a CSA election of 1867 over the years here on the board and one thing most of them...
  10. The Perilous Fight: America's 40 Years of Reckoning

...Harding is going to die in office at the most incconvenient time, calling it now. President Albert Fall during the *Great Depression. I see absolutely *no* way that ends well.
  11. Sequel de Mayo (Cinco de Mayo, Vol. II)

Wow, you've been busy these last few days! Not that I'm complaining - you have me excited for the start of the CEW now less than a year away...
  12. Sequel de Mayo (Cinco de Mayo, Vol. II)

I suppose the real question is if anyone is in a good enough state to host an Olympics in 1922...was there a planned host at this point?
  13. Wrapped in Flames: The Great American War and Beyond

Oh, man, lots to dig into here. Where do we begin... Denmark and Sweden moving closer together...potential more firm Scandinavian alliance in the making against Germany? That could be neat to see. I forgot about that earlier assassination attempt on Tsar alexander...so, it looks like...
  14. Into the Cincoverse - The Cinco de Mayo EU Thread and Wikibox Repository

So, are we going to have to wait till the main thread gets there in 2030 to see what exactly the mid-1950s crisis is? ;) I did scan that post just to see what French borders look like in the present day. I noticed Wallonia was in right away. On the other hand, I did not see any mention of...
  15. Sequel de Mayo (Cinco de Mayo, Vol. II)

Not that it is right now, either *points at the Congo*
  16. Wrapped in Flames: The Great American War and Beyond

One other interesting thing I noticed is that there was no mention of Japan as being an important power in any of those settings. I wonder if that is important - maybe Japan is never able to gain as much power as it did OTL?
  17. 8mm to the Left: If Hitler Died in 1923

Speaking of events coming up in 1936: the Spanish Civil War. If it still starts on OTL schedule (and I see no reason why it would not), how likely is this Germany to support the nationalists?
  18. Sequel de Mayo (Cinco de Mayo, Vol. II)

Okay, now you need to find an excuse to make some famous Chinese person from OTL a leader and advocate for the rights of Chinese-Americans...
  19. Sequel de Mayo (Cinco de Mayo, Vol. II)

There actually is a rather detailed TL ongoing showing the UK turning into a republic, though it took quite a while to get there: https://www.alternatehistory.com/forum/threads/the-popular-will-reformism-radicalism-republicanism-unionism-in-britain-1815-1960.491536/
  20. Sequel de Mayo (Cinco de Mayo, Vol. II)

The closest I can remember (and even that fails the post-1815 test) was one of the map games in Shared Worlds where Denmark became a republic following the breakdown of a unified (if Swedish-dominated) Scandinavian empire that chose the wrong side in *WW1. Other than that..yeah, I got nothing.
