  1. Flag Thread V

Interesting designs, and I assume Maine is still a part of Massachusetts. Why no Rhode Island, though?
  2. Flag Thread IV

I like them all, though I'm not a big fan of the green and yellow color scheme.
  3. WIP Map Thread

Working on a "United States of Earth" using mostly past and present OTL borders to make the states. North America is pretty much done but I haven't touched much outside of the Americas yet cause I want to finish South America. Brazil, Venezuela, and Argentina are mostly done, but I'm not happy...
  4. Flag Thread IV

    Looks like Apokolips-occupied Ohio.
  5. The United States as Canada (A Group Thought Experiment)

Just for fun, I used Thande's borders and tried to adjust the 1993 election results: Democratic: Bill Clinton (Arkansas)/Al Gore (Tennessee) - 45.79%, 268 EVs Republican: George H.W. Bush (Texas)/Dan Quayle (Indiana) - 35.95%, 267 EVs Independent: Ross Perot (Texas)/James Stockdale...
  6. Making the "Star Wars" Prequels Better

If both the Skywalker twins are sent to Tatooine, how does Leia get to Alderaan?
  7. Alternate Electoral Maps II

It was also very close, but Hillary won it by 2.23%.
  8. Alternate Electoral Maps II

I used 1996, since the percentage of the popular vote that Bill Clinton got was closer to what Hillary got in 2016 than his 1992 win. There were also a lot of states that were very close. Margin<1%: Kansas - 0.04% Florida - 0.19% Georgia - 0.20% New York - 0.37% Texas - 0.64% New Mexico - 0.86%
  9. Alternate Electoral Maps II

Democratic: Bill Clinton (Arkansas)/Al Gore (Tennessee) - 46.75%, 354 EVs Democratic: Hillary Clinton (New York)/Tim Kaine (Virginia) - 45.76%, 184 EVs
  10. Alternate Electoral Maps

Yep. It's interesting even compared to 2012 because while the House map there was similar to the presidential map, there were more states that went the other way (Obama/Republican states: Virginia, Ohio, Colorado, Nevada; Romney/Democratic states: North Carolina) IIRC.
  11. Alternate Electoral Maps

The 2016 House of Representatives elections as a Presidential election: Republican: Paul Ryan (Wisconsin)/Kevin McCarthy (California) - 49.1%, 328 EVs Democratic: Nancy Pelosi (California)/Steny Hoyer (Maryland) - 48.0%, 210 EVs
  12. Alternate Electoral Maps

Jimmy Carter (1976) vs. Donald Trump (2016): Democratic: James E. Carter (Georgia)/Walter Mondale (Minnesota) - 50.16%, 325 EVs Republican: Donald J. Trump (New York)/Michael R. Pence (Indiana) - 46.06%, 213 EVs Gerald Ford (1976) vs. Hillary Clinton (2016): Democratic: Hillary Rodham Clinton...
  13. Alternate Wikipedia Infoboxes III

In 2000 Gary Johnson was a Republican, the incumbent Governor of New Mexico, and a Bush supporter IIRC. 2000 Gary Johnson and 2012/2016 Gary Johnson are very different.
  14. Alternate Electoral Maps

New Mexico voted for Gore in 2000.
  15. Alternate Electoral Maps

A tie in the popular vote: Democratic: Hillary Clinton (NY)/Tim Kaine (VA) - 33.33%, 259 EVs Republican: Donald Trump (NY)/Mike Pence (IN) - 33.33%, 242 EVs Libertarian: Gary Johnson (NM)/Bill Weld (MA) - 33.33%, 37 EVs
  16. Alternate Electoral Maps

Nope. I'm using 538's numbers. "Whites" were majority Republican, while everyone else was overwhelmingly Democratic. I don't believe in "race" so I always put quotes around them.
  17. Alternate Electoral Maps

    "Asians"/"others":
  18. Alternate Electoral Maps

You're right, I forgot to put quotations around "Hispanics". Fixed.
  19. Alternate Electoral Maps

    "Hispanics":
  20. Alternate Electoral Maps

For "blacks": This one was very boring because the "black" vote is very uniformly solid Democratic throughout the nation. I might go back and redo these two with more shades.
