List of Alternate Monarchs and Aristocratic Lineage II

Also, unless there's literally nobody else available, Johanna of Austria (the Habsburg Claude de Valois) is not marrying. OTL it was caused by Juana of Spain's refusal to wed Francesco de Medici (she called him the little grocer's boy) or Alfonso II d'Este (thus necessitating Barbara of Austria's match to Alfie)
Who would Ferdinand marry then?

@Tudorfan and I came up with this last night.

I assume that Margaret is among the dead as well? After all, she had seniority over Mary Tudor the Elder, which was why her OTL great grandson became King of England over Mary's line upon Elizabeth I's death in 1603.

Yes, she is, as is her baby son.
Poor James IV. And poor Mary, too.
On the subject of this, I have officially started family tree-ing one of my own for a story around this very idea too, to be published on here once Heir to Rule is done.

As ever, this is a pairing I'm toying with trying.

James V (1512-1542) m 1533 Catherine de Medici (1519-1566)

1) James, Duke of Rothesay (b.1536) m. Renata of Lorraine (b.1544)
2) Margaret (1537-1544)
3) Alexander, Duke of Albany, Count of Auvergne (b.1539) m Francoise de Bourbon (b.1539)
4) Catherine (b.1540) m Edward VI (b.1537)
5) William (1541-42)
6) Anne (b.1543) m. Albert of Saxony (b.1545)

An idea @BlueFlowwer and I were discussing.

Louis XII of France (b. 1462) m. a) Anne, Duchess of Brittany (b. 1477, d. 1504); b) Catherine of Aragon (b. 1485) [1]
  1. a) Claude of France (b. 1499, d. 1504)
  2. b) Charles, Dauphin of France (b. 1506) m. Anne de Laval (b. 1505) [2]
  3. b) Anne of France (b. 1508) m. Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor (b. 1500)
  4. b) Marie of France (b. 1511) m. James V of Scotland (b. 1512)
  5. b) Isabelle of France (b. 1514) m. Henry IX of England (b. 1515) [3]
  6. b) Jean, Duke of Orléans [from 1534 Duke of Milan] (b. 1515) m. Isabella Jagiellon (b. 1519)
  7. b) Catherine of France (b. 1517) m. François I of Lorraine (b. 1517)

[1] Arthur lives a little longer, resulting in Catherine having a stillborn baby by him. This leads to her not marrying Henry.
[2] Chosen for her claim to Naples.
[3] Son of Henry VIII and Eleanor of Austria.

Very interesting! Does Henry V keep the throne then? Since I think Arthur of Lancaster would be chosen over Henry Tudor, but you have him as a Duke not a King.
