I don't know if you understand how dire the situation was for Germany in the RCW-verse, but they were on the verge of collapsing by the time of Berlin, they literally needed any man, woman or child who could hold a gun to fight, this included the Kaiser, (as I mentioned before, they tried to get his father to leave, but he refused, and subsequently so did Wilhelm III, do you expect the Army to force the Kaiser to do something he doesn't want to do?, and don't even mention a coup, the Army had no time for such silly thoughts with five armies pushing them back they needed to fight), if France and Austria hadn't wasted resources attempting to Siege Berlin instead of outright attacking, and on other fronts, Germany would have certainly lost the War. and then subject to a extermination of horrific proportions by the French, it was a War of National Survival, and Germany was going to either win or be eliminated from the face of the Earth, and every German had to stand and fight the Fascist invaders, even to the point that the Kaiser himself had to fight.

Indeed, the early years of the War were quick and unexpected defeats for the Imperial German Army, who were quickly steamrolled all the way across Germany to Brandenburg and Prussia proper. (pre-Napoleonic Prussia).

It really isn't hard to order about 3 men to beat him unconscious and drag his arse out of the dangerzone. For the continuity of government and all if Berlin was to fall.

Speaking of the Battle of Berlin, here is a info box for it.

and yes, Goebbels is the Leading Commander, like many of OTL's Nazis, he had a radically different life in the RCW-verse.

why did the great powers spoil things for the Bulgarians?

to keep Bulgaria from getting too strong, & by it getting Italy too strong, & by it getting Germany too strong. And also to keep from destabilizing the Ottomans too much. i mean with eastern Thrace gone its just a quick step & Constantinople falls to Bulgaria, or Russia, or Austria, or Germany

The Lib-Lab coalition became increasingly strained under Jack Straw: He had never been enthusiastic about it in the 1990s, and now seemed to be actively antagonistic towards his coalition parters. These relations worsened after Penhaligon resigned and was replaced by former athlete Ming Campbell. In September 2003 the Liberals surprised almost everyone by walking out on the coalition, citing Straw's Euroscepticism and refusal to back down on touchstone Liberal issues such as ID cards. Straw's government hobbled on until April of next year, when the Liberals and Tories brought down the government, hoping or make gains at Straw's expense. A poor campaign and the leakage of an attempt to form a Lib-Con coalition government in 2003 dashed Maude's hope of a landslide, but he managed to win a threadbare majority regardless. Maude could also feel safe from the threat of backbench rebellions thanks to a deal with the Democracy Alliance where they got two cabinet posts.

Here it is. I couldn't believe the seat totals when it all came together.
The strange part is that the seats match the popular vote so well--usually in FPTP you can get very similar popular vote scores and drastically different seat numbers.

Canadian FPTP tends to be quite nice in that regard. Of course, when you eff it up like in the 90s, it turns nasty to some parties, but overall, its nice.
