“Back in the USSA” Ending

Well, more like the ending of the last short story in the anthology. I have no clue what that ending was about. It reads like Godzilla came up out of the ocean and started to wreck everything.

The British reporter is having a nervous breakdown while getting super drunk on a Chernobyl vodka (nuclear meltdown) mix called "melt down" while the un peacekeeping forces lead by Jean-Claude Van Damme of all eople against separatist terrorists in California, and in the process light the oil in the water on fire
