Anyway, I was thinking about this lately and though I'd share my idea with you, normally you may see small entries in the newspaper or on the net about what happened on this particular day, major events, deaths and births. On this thread, do the same but with your own pre-made TLs or maybe some original ideas, or maybe happenings from other peoples TLs. Be creative

1957: Sputnik program: The Soviet Union unsucessfully launches Sputnik 2. On board is an animal who was intended to first enter orbit: a dog named Laika. Unfortunately the spacecraft disintegrates abruptly mid-flight.
1959: Ben Gurion is assassinated whilst making his election victory speech
2006: Chuck Norris dies under mysterious circumstances at his Dallas home.
