Battle of Uhud was a Muslim failure trying to conquer Mecca, but what would happen if Mohammed's wounds was lethal, either resulting in him dying from Sepsis/Hemorrhaging a few days or weeks later or 'on scene' on the battle field?
Killing the prophet and losing the battle all at once would kill the movement in any meaningful sense, sure it might persist in areas already converted but it remains an obscure religion in Western Arabia.
