    Fun AQC fact #75: The current ruling line of House Targaryen are not from an unbroken line of succession dating back to Torgas the Strong, parent to child, for four thousand years.

    They are in fact, the fifth (or seventh) line, depending on how you reckon that sort of thing.

    And some scholars considered it as many as fifteenth, but there were intense debates over that.

    On the plus side, it's probably not a spoiler to say that the heroine is going to be doing a fair deal better as she gathers support. It's just a rocky road to get to the point where she can make use of it.
