Anyone feel like making one for me?

Quarterly, I and IV gules a fess argent; II and III fusilly bendwise argent and azure.

The 16th Century samurai general, Honda Tadakatsu's weapon of choice was the spear named tonbo-Giri (dragonfly cutter). Legend has it that the tip of the spear was so sharp that once a dragonfly landed on it and was cut in two. As dragonflys are common in Japanese heralrdy, here's a dragonfly crest for General Tadakatsu.

CORRECT thread now, sorry.

I'm also a member of a What-IF modeling forum. These guys like to take POD's and make plastic models with different national emblems and such. One discussion was about a People's Republic of Ireland during the 1960's and a NATO-led invasion of the Emerald Isle after the PRI tried to forcibly annex Ulster.

I did some national military crests.

As you can see I was heavily influenced by East Germany.

Very well done. The six-pointed star works better than the five-pointed.

I question however the use of the harp (but not for the normal reasons). It doesn't really fit with socialist heraldry. I would expect it to be used by a nationalist or royalist group rather than a communist one.

First time for everything...

My first post in this particular thread! :D

National seal for the Republic of New England...although, I still haven't figured out how to get the text onto the scrolls right... the top banner should read "New England Republic" while the bottom on reads "lux et veritas floreant" (or "let light and truth flourish", for those like me who have no clue into how to read Latin).

On the communist Ireland thing, you might want to incorporate elements of the Starry Plough symbol, which since the 1910s has tended to emphasise hard-left political thought in Ireland (at least, AFAIK). Also the Sunburst; the Communist Party of Ireland used to use that with a red hammer and sickle in the middle.
