March 20, 2014: The British government announces that it will increase the number of Eurofighter Typhoons it's purchasing back to the original 250 aircraft.

September 18, 2014: Scotland narrowly votes (50.8% to 49.2%) against independence from the UK.

January 2, 2015: The BBC officially announces that a Doctor Who feature film is in development. Its scheduled to be released on Christmas Day 2017 and will star Peter Capaldi as the doctor. After a successful first series as the doctor, the BBC also announces that Peter Capaldi will remain the Doctor through 2017.

January 16, 2015: As a result of the no vote against Scottish independence in the 2014 referendum, multiple Ministers and Secretaries of the Government of Scotland resign their place including First Minister Alex Salmond and Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, leaving the Government of Scotland leaderless. Opinion polls show a drastic drop of support for the Scottish National Party.

January 25, 2015: An unscheduled protests takes place outside Westminster between Parliament and Downing Street with camps showing up in Victoria Tower Gardens, Parliament Square and Horse Guards Parade. The protest is aimed to spur on a second Referendum.

January 27, 2015: Police break up the demonstrations around Victoria Tower Gardens and Parliament Square relatively peacefully apart from 4 arrests, but this is voided as a larger occupation of Horse Guards Parade, Trafalgar Square and St.Paul’s Cathedral occur due to the use of social media.

On the same day Virgin Media become the last major internet supplier in the UK to turn on 'Adult Filtering'

January 29,2015: The Guardian citing WikiLeaks publishes evidence which it says shows that the 'Adult Filtering' settings imposed by ISP's also block a large amount of content which is viewed as portraying the government in a negative light.

January 30, 2015: UK ISPs report that in the last 24 hours around 30% of users have 'opted-in' to receive filtered content.

June 13, 2015: The United Kingdom becomes the first to recognize Somaliland's independence. Somalia, however protests alongside Scottish nationalists who in disbelief that the UK is more willing to recognize Somaliland than Scotland as an independent state, again protests occur around London as well as outside of the Scottish Parliament Building.

June 24, 2015: The Broadcasting Act of 2015 is introduced, making ITV a regional service again in June 2016. A franchise round will be held in November 2015. In other TV developments, the local stations introduced in 2013/2014 will now form a proper network called Local 7.

November 17, 2015: The second round of the ITV franchise rounds occur to replace those which failed to win. The following regions receive new broadcasters;

• Southern Scotland, and Berwick-upon-Tweed: STV South (which is owned by SMG, along with STV Central (Scottish TV) and STV North (Grampian TV)
• Cumbria, and Isle of Man: Cheviot TV
• Northwestern England: TVNW
• English Midlands: Mercia TV
• Southwestern England (includes area formerly covered ITV West): Dumnonia TV
• London (both weekday/weekend): TVLondon

December 23, 2015: Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh passes away, aged 94. The royal family go into mourning during the Christmas period.

December 25, 2015: The Doctor Who Christmas special, featuring Jason Isaacs as the Master and the permanent return of Gallifrey, sets ratings records notching over 15 million viewers in the UK and over 5 million viewers on BBC America.

January 1, 2016: Sherlock Series 4 premieres on BBC One with record breaking numbers tuning in to see what will happen after the explosive revelations of the Series 3 finale. The news is however bittersweet as star Martin Freeman announces Series 5 will be the last.

February 4, 2016: Jenna Coleman announces that she will leave Doctor Who at the end of the next series. On the show for 5 series, she becomes the longest running companion of the Doctor.

May 8, 2016: In the smallest Eurovision Song Contest this century (only 22 countries took part because of financial problems and the success of Turkvizyon), The United Kingdom wins in Dublin with Outta My Mind, performed by Tulisa.

June 12, 2016: As expected, the many franchises of ITV are launched across the UK.

August 14, 2016: 3 months after her win for the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest, Tulisa is arrested under drug dealing charges and sentenced with 6 years in jail.

August 17, 2016: The BBC announce that even though Tulisa is now incarcerated for her drug dealing charges, the Eurovision Song Contest will still go on in the UK as planned, with the runner-up performing the song at the start of the show.

December 25, 2016: In the early hours of Christmas Day, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge gives birth to identical red-haired twin sons at the King Edward VII Hospital in London. Prince Christopher Leopold Michael of Cambridge, the elder is born twelve minutes before his younger brother Prince Alfred Henry Francis of Cambridge. The names of the newly-born princes are announced immediately.

February 18, 2017: The HMS Queen Elizabeth, the first of Britain's new class of carrier, is commissioned and deploys for sea trails. Evaluators praise the new warship, and note that the carrier provides Britain with power projection capabilities not seen since the decommissioning of the old Ark Royal.

March 19, 2017: The British government announces that it will build a third Queen Elizabeth-class aircraft carrier (named the HMSDuke of Edinburgh (R10)), 16 more Type 45 destroyers, expand the order of Type 26 frigates to 24, and order a further nine Astute-class submarines.

April 3, 2017: The British government announces that the Queen Elizabeth-class carriers will remain in the STOBAR configuration. They also announce that they are unterminating the F-35B purchase and are increasing it to an order of 144 F-35Bs.

May 10, 2017: The UK hosts the Eurovision Song Contest in London. In a push to increase participation, the EU accepts Egypt as a member and splits Cyprus into North and South (as so in Turkvysion) which turns out to be a controversial topic spoken about the contest that year. In the end Finland wins with a run-away score with the UK coming second.

June 12, 2017: Sir Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber dies of a heart attack during a preview to his upcoming show School of Rock. As the theatre industry mourns, School of Rock is delayed for 3 months.

July 24, 2017: Little Mix announces that following the collapse of their record deal with Simon Cowell, they will be going on a 2 year hiatus. Member Perrie Edwards, however, will not be taking a break since she's just signed a deal with Universal Records, with first album due in 2018.

July 28, 2017: Former Eurovision Song Contest winner, N-Dubz member and X-Factor UK judge Tulisa is seriously wounded in prison, being transported to a hospital in the Greater London area.

July 29, 2017: Tabloid newspapers report on Tulisa’s injury gained in prison and announce she is in critical condition, but likely to make a recovery. They also reveal that she was stabbed by a fellow in-mate who confessed that she had been smuggling contraband into the jail.

October 4, 2017: Cliff Richard announces his retirement from music, with immediate effect, after being diagnosed with pneumonia just days after finishing a run at the Royal Albert Hall.

June 12, 2018: On the 1st anniversary of Lord Webber's death, an memorial concert at the London Palladium, entitled The Music of the Lord, takes place, featuring the popular songs of all his well-known shows and some of his unreleased works which will be produced in the years to come.

August 22, 2018: A plane carrying Prince William and Princess Catherine of Cambridge along with their three young sons crashes during an emergency landing at London Heathrow. The only causality is Prince William with two of their sons gaining serious injuries.

August 25, 2018: A group calling themselves the Scottish National Liberation Army claims responsibility of the death of Prince William in the crash of the royal plane in London Heathrow through sabotage. In a video, they stated their cause as the royal family being “a clear symbol of the tyranny of the United Kingdom”.

September 28, 2018: Investigations by the AAIB (Air Accidents Investigations Branch) into the plane crash that killed Prince William reveal human error as the suspected caused, making the claim by the Scottish National Liberation Army invalid. The ground crew of the flight, originating from a foreign airport, may have not filled the plane with enough fuel to reach the airport.

December 25, 2018: The Government of the United Kingdom announces criminal charges for manslaughter for the ground crew of the flight that crashed, killing Prince William. In a special Christmas Message to the United Kingdom and Commonwealth nations, the queen shows her grief of losing Prince Philippe in 2015 and now Prince William in 2018 but encourages the Commonwealth to keep strong, especially referencing Scotland.

December 20, 2019: During the Christmas shopping period, multiple bombs detonated in Birmingham city centre, being one car bomb and 2 backpack-bombs. The attack occurred in the Bullring Centre, specifically the Selfridges store and St. Martins Square, as well as a car bomb in the Queen Drive entrance to Birmingham New Street Station. It was instantly titled the largest and most infamous attack on the United Kingdom since the 7th July bombings and the Murder of Lee Rigby. Despite the news reports and panic caused by the attacks, the death toll only finished at 32, a majority (19) coming from Birmingham New Street. A group calling themselves Yawm ad-Dī took responsibility for the attack and introduced themselves as a group based in Western Europe with branches connected via the dark-net.

December 22, 2019: A protest against Muslim immigration into Britain takes place by the English Defence League in London, numbering over 30,000. It turns violent when the protest reaches Westminster, with police breaking up the protest and arresting over 900 people. Counts of Islamophobia was recorded officially as rising higher than after the Murder of Lee Rigby with Mosques being attacked and vandalised and many Muslims being threatened or assaulted.

December 30, 2019: The Guardian publishes leaked emails between the Prime Minister and Home Secretary in which the Prime Minister ask whether Britain could and should “temporarily” halt immigration by Muslims. In the subsequent uproar, there are soon calls on both sides of the political spectrum for his resignation.

February 17, 2020: The London Metropolitan Police performs a raid on an apartment on the outskirts of London which is suspected to be the UK hub for Yawm ad-Dī. The raid is successful in capturing the leader and 2nd in command of the UK Yawm ad-Dī, with 3 Yawm ad-Dī deaths and no police causalities, a further 3 members are also arrested.

March 6, 2020: The British MoD announces that it will build two 90,000 ton nuclear powered supercarriers named HMS Illustrious(R11) and HMS Ark Royal (R12).

March 17, 2020: Former CEO of Exxon Mobil Corporation, Rex Tillerson, is murdered by a Flea sympathiser while at a holiday home in Portobello, a seaside resort near Edinburgh, Scotland.

June 12, 2020: Prince Harry proposes to Jennifer Lawrence on the balcony of Buckingham Palace where she said yes in front of hundreds of tourists who capture the moment unexpectedly and sends a rush of viral media onto the internet, with some being the most watched viral videos of all time because of the public nature of the proposal.

November 6 – November 25, 2020: A series of sniper shootings between Manchester and Liverpool are contributed to the SNLA, though they deny knowledge and do not claim responsibility. Mass panic is spread despite the fact, showcasing the paranoia created by recent terrorism in the UK and the US.

November 27, 2020: The perpetrators of the spree killings between Manchester and Liverpool, named as brothers Vince and Ray Browloche, are caught and are revealed to be copycats of the infamous Beltway Snipers. No connection to terrorism, the non-proven SNLA, Yawm ad-Dī or the Fleas is found and terrorism is crossed out as a motive. Becoming just a deadly rampage killing across the UK. The death toll of the Browloche killings ends at 14 dead and 9 injured.

April 21,2021: Coinciding with the wedding of Prince Harry and Jennifer Lawrence, the United Kingdom and Commonwealth nations celebrate the Queens 95th Birthday, with the same enthusiasm and celebratory moods of the Diamond Jubilee. It is sadly announced however that the Queen can no longer move on her own and requires a wheelchair, this leads pundits and newspapers to believe that she is close to death and to start expecting the next in line to the thrown. Between Prince George, Prince Christopher, Prince Alfred (the 3 sons of Princess Catherine) and Prince Harry.

April 26, 2021: The wedding of Prince Harry and Jennifer Lawrence occurs in a similar fashion as to how the wedding of Prince William and Princess Catherine occurred but quickly becoming one of the largest TV events in UK and Commonwealth history after the wedding of Prince William and Princess Catherine and the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth the II. It is also the first major appearance of Princess Catherine and her sons since the plane crash in 2018 that killed Prince William. It is also the first public appearance of Queen Elizabeth the II in her wheelchair after being announced as immobile due to old age.

May 8, 2021: Scotland is finally accepted as a member of the European Broadcasting Union, despite their connection to the UK still. They do not participate in the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest held in the Netherlands. The winner is Ireland, commentators mentioning a possible new golden-era for Ireland.

June 4, 2022: In the Eurovision Song Contest Scotland has it's first entry under Scotland as an independent EBU member and gets 12th, the winner being Ireland again, fanning rumours of a new golden-era for Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest.

June 1, 2023: In Belfast, Northern Ireland. The Eurovision Song Contest occurs with Egypt winning for the first time since it joined in 2017. The competition is marred by a successful terrorist attack on the official Eurovision hotel. Preliminary investigations and interviews say the explosion came from the room between where the Moroccan and British entries were staying. The explosion took out the entire floor, but happened during the contest so the floor was empty. 4 people died and 3 injured when the floor collapsed on the rooms above onto the 3 rooms below none the less.

June 3, 2023: A new cell of Islamic extremists, much like Yawm ad-Dī who committed the attacks on Christmas shoppers in 2019, but with a combination of members from Morocco and Yawm ad-Dī, claims responsibility for the attack on the Eurovision Song Contest as a protest of Morocco participating in a “western competition”. The claim does not stand as being from a cell of Yawm ad-Dī and is decided that it comes from a group of lone-wolves.
