OUI: Vive le Québec Libre
On October 30th, 1995, the people of Québec voted on the issue of whether or not they wanted to secede from Canada and form an independent nation. In our timeline, the vote came out to “no”, by a margin of less than two percent. But with such a small margin, random chance could have tipped the scales either way. So, what if it had? What if the governments worst nightmares came true, and Québec had voted for sovereignty? What would have happened if the vote had come up “OUI”?
