+As a minor initial POD, the king of the Visigoths isn't killed at the Battle of the Catalaunian Fields.  The first major butterfly occurs when Attila the Hun doesn't die in 453, and instead goes on fighting the Roman Empires.  As a result of the chaos he and his son after him manage to wreak, both Constantinople and Rome fall to barbarians before the end of the 5th century.
