The Project

SPOILER ALERT: Players are not introduced to the Project and its nature until training begins.

The Project's scientists believe they can send a number of specially constructed bunkers through time simultaneously. They are forming teams to be sent in these bunkers and establish a network. The exact target time and mission on arrival is classified.

Players will be part of General Survey teams with a mission of reconnoitering an unknown and possibly hostile environment, reporting their findings, and undertaking missions as directed in support of the Network.

Organization

Continental USA is divided into ten regions.

  • Northwest
  • Southwest
  • Great Basin
  • Great Plains
  • South Central
  • Missippi Valley
  • Southeast
  • Great Lakes
  • Northeast
  • Mid-Atlantic

Each region has a Command headquarters associated with it. There is also a Prime Command whose location is classified and Prime-level organizations outside of the regional structure. Regions are expected to be entirely self-directing and -sustaining with minimal support from Prime command.

Bunker Types

  • Team Bunker: Houses and supports one GS, TS, or Tactical team and all their gear. More of a temporary shelter than a permanent base.
  • Base Bunker: Holds an Operations Support element and can provide C2 and sustainment to up to a dozen subordinate teams of all types.
  • Logistics Bunker: Gear caches. Vary in size from 10×10 boltholes to giant caverns full of vehicles and other equipment. Not all are marked.
  • Command Bunker: A fortress that directs all teams operating within a region. There are backup Command locations for each regions.
  • Aviation Bunker: Contains aircraft and Operations Support elements to run an airbase. There is normally one per command and may be backup bunkers.

There are other bunkers and elements that fall outside the normal structure. A Team will normally only know the location of a few Logistics Bunkers and one Command Bunker besides its own.

Team Types

All teams are 6-16 members. They may fall under Detachment headquarters.

  • General Survey (GS) - All players are part of GS teams
  • Technical Survey (TS)
  • Operations Support - General (OS)
  • Operations Support - Logistics (OS-LS)
  • Operations Support - Medical (OS-MD)
