Formerly a colonial power occupying Maine.  According to [[offtopic:Alternate History Geek]], much of the Upper Midwest (where he now lives) is also Massachusite //terra irredenta//, thus explaining why he still considers himself to live in Massachusetts.
 Getting <del>pickled</del> historically preserved at an alarming rate, with the latest scheme being the idea of turning most of Lowell into a living museum.
