 All these overseas territories __were__ part of **The Netherlands Antilles** until the 10th October 2010, when the old system was dissolved and replaced by the current one : Aruba, Curaçao and Sint Maarten became “constituent countries” within The Kingdom of The Netherlands (the fourth country being The Netherlands proper), while the islands of Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba (aka “The Carribean Netherlands”) were granted the status of “special municipalities” within the kingdom.
