| Deblano describes himself as "fiscally center-right" with regards to lowering corporate taxes, favoring generous tax credits as an alternative to raising the minimum wage (but he also supports wage experimentation throughout individual states), and pro-free trade to the point where he has accused the Democratic and Republican nominees of being too protectionist. However, Deblano has some liberal views on economics, as he supports preserving Social Security (he used to support privatizing it, but changed his opinion) and supports adequate funding of public schools but allowing school vouchers as an alternative for families. Deblano also is more neutral on Unions then the typical Republican, but still holds more skepticism towards public sector unions as opposed to private sector unions. | |
