+Along with neighbouring Togo, Benin's territory is elongated on a northen-southern axis. The country   borders [[Togo]] in the west, [[Burkina Faso]] in the northwest, [[Niger]] in the north and [[Nigeria]] in the east. Its southern border consists of its Atlantic coastline, geographically part of the Gulf of Guinea.
